This Erasmus+ project will deliver a training programme for future Forests for Health practitioners linking the health and forestry sectors. These Forests for Health practitioners will raise awareness among the beneficiary public of the sustainable forest management, and restorative benefits of forests on health. They will also work to improve the health and wellbeing through forest-based activities.

This project progresses work that began in Geneva as part of the Think Tank on Green Jobs in the forest sector (Team of Specialists on Green Jobs in the Forest Sector – Joint United Nations Economic Commission for Europe / Food and Agriculture Organization / International Labour Organization [FAO/ECE/ILO] Expert Network).
The addition of international expertise
The Forests for Health project brings together forestry training centres specialising in education and communication, as well as in sustainable forest management, and Institutes with expertise in forest bathing and forest health.
8 experts from 7 countries and an advisory committee representing 3 countries: A symbiotic partnership who will ensure the quality and sustainability of the project long after its completion.
4 experts from 3 countries serve to give advice, to provide key information and to make recommandations. It will be a tremendous complement to the effectiveness of the partnership...
